Concert on the occasion of the Republic Day

On the occasion of the Republic Day Embassy and Honorary consulate of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Slovakia organized a concert and photo exhibition on May 16 in the premises of Slovak Philharmonic Reduta in Bratislava.

Honorary consul Džalal Gasymov and ambassador of Azerbaijan with the seat in Vienna His Excellency Galib Israfilov welcomed the guests. The ambassador underlined that this year more cultural events by diplomatic missions and cultural centers of Azerbaijan throughout the world are being held because of the 95. State independence anniversary and 90. anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev are celebrated. Therefore, Slovakia could not be missed. He also expressed his satisfaction with good relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan and a wish to continue in that path and deepen ties between countries.

This year’s concert brought traditional melodies of Azerbaijan to Slovakia. Guests could enjoy the performance of five extraordinary musicians, the programme of whose include 16 compositions. On the scene of the Big Hall of Reduta, prominent piano player, professor at the Baku Music Academy Nargiz Aliyarova, artist of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, soloist of the UNS theatre Agshin Abdullayev, mugam singer Nigar Shabanova, teacher at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, kamancha performer Toghrul Asadullayev and musician in Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Conservatory, tar performer Fuad Hajiyev performed. Photos by Azerbaijan State telegraph Agency photographers, exhibited in the foyer, captured Azerbaijan in its various images – city’s bustle and calmness of the village, dynamic Baku’s architecture and unspotted nature and generations of people, living through the changes of the dizzily developed country.
