In Azerbaijan, the weather changes extremely depending on where you stay. There is a mountain climate in the north and the west of the country and the temperate climate is typical for the Caspian Sea region. During spring and summer (from half April to October), temperatures vary between 20 to 30°C. It is warm and dry in much of the country, but in the mountains it gets more humid and the temperature becomes more stable with growing altitude. In July and August, it is extremely hot with temperatures reaching 38°C. From December to March it is usually 5-10°C. The annual average temperature in the capital city, Baku, is 25.7°C in July and 3.8°C in January. The best time to visit Azerbaijan is between April and October.
